The New Standard Carafe works best with the New Standard Carafe Coffee Filters, but is compatible with any folded or bonded style filter.
Standard conical filters like our Coffee Filters (intended for our Pourigami) can stall/clog the brew and potentially fall through the center of the Carafe.
