General cleaning
We recommend hand washing your MiiR in hot, soapy water with a long-handled soft bristle brush. All MiiR lids are easily hand washed and are also top rack dishwasher safe. Be sure to remove all gaskets on your lid to clean any residue that has built up underneath them.
The inside of my MiiR has developed stubborn stains. How do I safely remove them?
Never use bleach or chlorine. Instead, we recommend one of the following:
- Use an all natural cleaning tablet like Bottle Bright
- Pour a solution of white distilled vinegar and warm water (1:5 ratio) into your MiiR and let soak for 10 minutes
- Create a paste with baking soda or Bar Keeper's Friend and warm water and gently scrub the paste directly onto stains with a soft bristled brush. Rinse with very hot water and repeat as necessary.
How do I clean my 360 Lid?
All MiiR lids are easily hand washed and are also top rack dishwasher safe. We recommend a small brush like our Essential Cleaning Kit to scrub any hard to reach areas. Do not attempt to disassemble the lid as it will break.
For deep cleaning, remove the gaskets and soak the lid in a bowl of freshly boiled water with a bit of dish soap or baking soda. The hot water will break down anything that is dried onto the lid that is hard to reach with a brush. Depending on how deep of a clean your lid needs, it may take a few rounds of soaking to get it completely clean.
